Anna Melitta Dürr Johnson, 91, of Barboursville, WV, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017, in the Village of Riverview, Barboursville. She was born March 2, 1926 in Marktbreit, Germany, a daughter of the late Heinrich and Margrete Nied Dürr. Her husband, William E. Johnson and a granddaughter, Rachel Hatfield, also preceded her in death. She started as a CNA, then became a Colonoscopy Technician, and then an Emergency Room technician, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Anna is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith Ann and Randall Hatfield of Huntington and Dr. Patricia Lou and Dr. Phil Miner of Sarasota, FL; six grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey and Allen Arthur of Huntington, Gina Gooderham of Barboursville, Dr. Nathan and Griffin Hatfield of Huntington, Ben Miner of Youngstown, OH, Aaron Miner of Los Angeles, CA and Gloria and Aaron Weinberg of Tampa, FL; eight great grandchildren, Chad Arthur, Chase Arthur, Trenton Arthur, Jaycob Gooderham, Hunter Gooderham, Jenna Gooderham, Emerson Hatfield, and Paige Hatfield; and a brother, Walter Dürr of Marktbreit, Germany. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, August 25, 2017, at Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion, with Pastor Lee Boso officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:00 am Friday at the cemetery.
