Richard Lee Simmons, 81, of Huntington, widower of Reta Faye Rice Simmons, died Monday, August 21, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born September 18, 1935 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Allen and Glenna Simmons. A son, Darrell Simmons preceded him in death on August 6, 2017. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired contractor having been a home builder. Survivors include two sons, Richard Lee Simmons, Jr., of Wayne, WV, and Danny Simmons of Harriman, TN; and a daughter, Betty Simmons of Raccoon Valley, TN. There will be no services and Chapman's Mortuary is helping the family with cremation.
