Darrell Edward Simmons, 52, of Huntington, husband of Patty Simmons, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1964 in Huntington, WV a son of Richard Lee Simmons of Huntington, and the late Rita Faye Rice Simmons. His sister, Alice Simmons also preceded him in death. He was a former laborer and driver for Tri-State Transit Authority. In addition to his wife and father, survivors include, two brothers, Richard Lee Simmons, Jr., of Wayne, WV, and Danny Simmons of Tennessee; and a sister, Betty Simmons of Tennessee. There will be no services at this time, and Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
