Eileen Dolores Rice, 89, of Lesage, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 11, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, August 14, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Charles Mays officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born January 20, 1928 in Leon, Mason County, WV a daughter of the late Raymond and Katie Smith Sines. She worked from 1962 to 1987 as a steno clerk for CSX and retired with 25 years of service. She was a member of Cox Landing United Methodist Church for more than 60 years, where she was an active member of the United Methodist Women. Survivors include: her loving husband of 69 years, George Rice; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Thomas Morgan of Huntington; a son, Randall Rice of Huntington; two granddaughters, Niki Rice and Malory Morgan Baker and her husband Travis; three great grandchildren, Andrew Christopher, Maci Morgan Baker and Maddyn Grace Baker; a sister, Elma Chapman of Lesage; and two nieces, Angela Chapman and Karen Chapman Black and her husband, Rex. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
