Martha Hicks, 72, of Huntington, WV, passed away Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Brandon Dailey officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born May 15, 1938 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Addison P. and Ethel Flora Waugh. A son, Randy Scarberry; two sisters, Betty Deal and Hazel Ferguson; and a brother, Addison Waugh, also preceded her in death. Survivors include: a daughter, Brenda Jenkins of Huntington; four sons, Wesley Lee Scarberry, Fred Hicks, Jr., and Michael Hicks, all of Huntington; and Jeffrey Scarberry of Naples, FL; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Carpenter of Huntington; and special friends, Kim Barbour and Bo Hicks, both of Huntington.
