John Hamilton Linn
(July 30, 1949 - April 17, 2011)


John Hamilton Linn, 61, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Holmes Beach Florida. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, April 22, 2011 in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV, with Pastor Jerry Chapman officiating.Burial will follow. Honorary pallbearers will include: David Rubinfeld of Siesta Key, FL; Ed Kirn, and Richard Blanch both of Bradenton, FL; Mark Brazier of Devon England; Gary Lucas of Huntington, and Dave Gilbert of Ona, WV. He was born July 30, 1949, in Charleston, WV, a son of Lucille Summers Linn of Huntington, and the late George Linn. He was a graduate of Marshall University, a member of the MU Alumni Association and an avid supporter of Marshall University athletics. John was a US Navy veteran, and the co-owner/operator of Benefit Wholesale Equipment. His wife of 28 years, his soul mate, and love of his life Judith Linn survive him. Additional survivors include his mother, Lucille Summers Linn of Huntington; a daughter and her husband, whom John considered a son, Holly Linn-Mann and Bob of Huntington; one sister, Jennifer Linn of Spring Hill, FL; a brother Jeffrey S. Linn also of Huntington; and a host of friends in Huntington and Florida whom he leaves behind. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
