Calvin C. Lynch
(April 7, 1924 - April 20, 2011)



Calvin C. Lynch, 87, of Huntington, moved to Heaven on Tuesday April 20, 2011 from the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born April 7, 1924 in Westfield, NC, a son of the late Floss D. and Donie May Watson Lynch. Others preceding him in death were a son, Terry Lynch; stepson, Daniel Wassum; sister, Thelma Scarberry; and a brother, Thomas Lynch. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran, a member of Trinity Church of God, and was owner and operator of A-1 Security Company. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Joan Adams Lynch of Huntington; a son, Brad Wassum and wife, Merrill; granddaughter, Johnna Wassum; stepdaughter, Sandra Parsons and husband, Tim; two sisters, Alma Miller and Aileen Belcher; and a brother, Alan Lynch. Graveside service will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday April 22. 2011, at Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion, with Pastor Ken Toler officiating, and burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Donations may be sent to Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call at the mausoleum a half hour before services.
