JOHN "Buddy" MAUCK, 71, of Lesage, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at home. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Steve Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. He was born February 15, 1940, in Faquire County, Va., a son of the late Morton and Catherine Shaffer Mauck. A brother, George Mauck and two brothers-in-law, Ellis Oliver and Richard Thompson, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Deloris "Susie" Cooper Mauck of Lesage; one daughter, Diana Mauck Bartram and a son Steve Mauck, both of Coalmont, Tenn.; sisters and a brother-in-law, Grace Oliver of Falls Church, Va., and Louise and Don Johnson of Catlett, Va.; several nieces and nephews and special friends Edith Hanley and Ruth Kingery. Friends may call from noon to service time Friday, April 15, 2011, at the funeral home.
