William Thomas “Tommy” Stevens, 72, of Huntington, WV, died Friday April 8, 2011 at Madison Park. Funeral service will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday April 10, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington. With Rev. Doug Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. Tommy was born March 17, 1939 in Cabell County, WV a son of the late Wendell & Della Jenkins Stevens. He worked at Royal Crown Bottling Company & White Way Laundry. He was Baptist by faith and preceded in death by a special brother-in-law William Trippett. Survivors include 1 daughter Michelle Roberts & husband Terry of Columbia, SC, 1 son Timothy Stevens & wife Karen of Huntington, 1 sister Mary Trippett of Lesage, 4 grandchildren Chelsea Stevens Hall & husband Chad, Hilary Roberts, Graham & Brooks Stevens, a special niece & nephew Gina Massie & husband Ronnie of Ona & Brian Trippett of Lesage, 2 great-nephews Kevin & Christopher Massie. The family would like to thank the staff at Madison Park, were he made his home, for the gracious care he received.
