William Thomas "Tommy" Stevens
(March 17, 1939 - April 8, 2011)



William Thomas “Tommy” Stevens, 72, of Huntington, WV, died Friday April 8, 2011 at Madison Park. Funeral service will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday April 10, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington. With Rev. Doug Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. Tommy was born March 17, 1939 in Cabell County, WV a son of the late Wendell & Della Jenkins Stevens. He worked at Royal Crown Bottling Company & White Way Laundry. He was Baptist by faith and preceded in death by a special brother-in-law William Trippett. Survivors include 1 daughter Michelle Roberts & husband Terry of Columbia, SC, 1 son Timothy Stevens & wife Karen of Huntington, 1 sister Mary Trippett of Lesage, 4 grandchildren Chelsea Stevens Hall & husband Chad, Hilary Roberts, Graham & Brooks Stevens, a special niece & nephew Gina Massie & husband Ronnie of Ona & Brian Trippett of Lesage, 2 great-nephews Kevin & Christopher Massie. The family would like to thank the staff at Madison Park, were he made his home, for the gracious care he received. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday April 9, 2011.
