Mrs. Barbara Jean Jones, 78, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 1, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Ernest M. Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born April 12, 1932 at Salem, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence Richard and Minnie Lou Flint Watson. She was a former employee at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. She was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Hampton Thomas, and husbands, Bill Hall and Ken Jones. Surviving are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Wandell Huffman of Barboursville, WV, and Susanna Starr Moore and husband Gene Moore, of Huntington; 3 grandchildren, Emory Gene Moore, II, of Huntington, Rebecca Moore of Barboursville, and Alyson Nicole Huffman, of Barboursville; 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a sister Katie Lou Gatens of Huntington, and a brother, Shannon F. Watson, of Clemmons, NC. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6 PM until 8 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011.
