Elizabeth "Betty" Chase Taylor Worrell
(February 24, 1917 - March 7, 2011)



Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Chase Taylor Worrell, 94, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday March 7, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Highlawn Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Rick Wilson and Dr. R. Jackson Haga officiating. She was born February 24, 1917 at Saunders Hill, MA, a daughter of the late John "Jack" Richard and Lura Chase Hall Taylor of Haverhill, MA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fidelity Chapter # 90, Haverhill, MA, Riveria Ladies Golf League, Beta Sigma Sigma Sorority, Highlawn Presbyterian Church, and St. Mary' Volunteer Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Evan, daughter Elizabeth Joanne Ellershaw, son-in-law, Gerald D. Cline, brothers, John Richard Taylor, Jr, Edwin H. 'Ben" Taylor, and Milton Holbrook Taylor. Surviving are 2 daughters, Sandra Worrell Cline of Penscacola, FL, Wendy Worell Bush, of Tokyo, Japan, 2 sons ands daughters-in-law, Evan W. "Butch" Worrell and wife Judy of Culloden, WV, Jay C. Worrell and wife Cheryl of Goldsboro, NC; 14 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends after 10:00 AM Saturday at the church. Thank you to the loving care provided by Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House during our mother's last days. Donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
