Carrie Marie Rice
(April 30, 1922 - March 18, 2011)


Mrs. Carrie Marie Rice, 88, of Huntington, widow of Lewis Rice passed away Friday March 18, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Minister Dearl Hutchison officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born April 30, 1922 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late William and Minnie Booth Cremeans. She was a retired Selector with the former Kerr Glass Company In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Earl Keith “Buddy” Hargis, several sisters and a brother. Surviving are a daughter, Patty Hughes of Huntington, granddaughter and her husband, Jami and Tim Burns of Ringgold, GA, a grandson and wife Randy and Kerri Hughes of Dallas, TX, and 3 great grandchildren; Emily Burns, Dustin and Audrey Hughes.
