Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born October 28, 1925, the only son of Earl and Betty Selby, of Springfield, MO He is survived by his sisters, Roxie Dearmore and Dorothy Ricker, 2 nieces, Brenda Dearmore and Darlene Goding, 2 nephews, Franklin Dearmore, Jr., and Chris Burdette; grandson, William Ball, and 4 great grandchildren. Also his family at Huntington Health and Rehab, to whom we owe my utmost love and respect for the care and devotion given to Pastor Selby; his Pastor Ricky Ray, and church family at Highlawn Baptist Church. He remained a faithful servant. He was an usher and a member of the Prime Timers Choir. He graduated from the Southern Baptist Seminary in 1957, where met his wife, Erma Winegar Selby. They were married for 64 years, and during that time they served the ministry as a single unit. Pastor Selby came to us from Woodbine Baptist Church in Manassas, VA. where his friends, Nancy Slusher, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Pittman, the Bradley’s, Joyce Myers, the Key’s, and the Crisp’s, have remained as loyal and faithful friends. We thank you so much. His Chaplain and nurses from Hospice were greatly appreciated for the last week he was with us. Harold and B. J. Camp request your presence to honor Pastor Selby’s life after 11:30 AM Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary.
