Jessie Renee Childers, 25, of Huntington, became an angel with the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Brother Cecil Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. She was born July 20, 1993 in Huntington a daughter of Dennis Dwayne Childers and the late Teresa Ann Frye-Adkins. She worked formerly at area hotels in the housekeeping department. In addition to her father, survivors include her step mother, Angie Childers; a son, Joseph Dwayne Lawrence of Huntington; two sisters, Andrea Childers of Huntington and Savanna Messer and her husband, Lloyd Messer of Genoa, WV; maternal grandmother, Audalene Starr of South Point, OH; two step sisters, Tara Rogers of Coal Grove, OH, and Jazmin Rogers of Huntington; a step brother, Sean Rogers of Huntington; an aunt, Sharon Simpson of Huntington; a cousin, Felicia Simpson of Huntington, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may visit with family 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary.
