Obituary



Raymond Michael Gibson, 67, of Chesapeake, OH, died Sunday December 16, 2018 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday December 23, 2018 at New Beginnings Church of God, (1616 Poplar St, Kenova) with Pastor Bob Ingles officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Raymond was born September 23, 1951 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Phyllis M Cumpston Gibson and Raymond C Gibson of Huntington. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the New Beginnings Church of God. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Ann Gibson and a grandson, baby Matthew. Survivors include two daughters, Tera Gibson Floyd of Chesapeake and Reagan Berry of Huntington, two sons, Christopher Michael Gibson and wife Kerri and Timothy Matthew Gibson and wife Angie all of Kenova, WV, one sister, Diane Simpson and husband Gary of Barboursville, and one brother, Tim Gibson and wife Anita of Fayette County, GA, 14 grandchildren, Caleb, Andrew, Kohde, Corbin and Chad Michael Gibson, Matthew and Miranda Floyd, Brayden and Zayden Sandman, Desiree Gibson, Justin Hogsett, Zac and Kaitlin May and Tyler Berry. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Sunday at the church. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
