Obituary


John Joseph Deptuch, Jr., 82, of Huntington, died December 16, 2018 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, December 20, 2018, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church of which he was a member, with Fr. Douglas Ondeck officiating. A celebration of life reception will follow the Mass. He was born May 4, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late John J. Deptuch, Sr., and Anielka Tencza Deptuch. 6 siblings also preceded him in death. John was a US Navy veteran, and started his working career at Pan American Airlines, then retired as district manager for J T Limo in Corning, NY. He was very instrumental in the promotion of the Republican Party in Huntington. Survivors include his cherished wife of 61 years, Faye DiGabriele Deptuch; 5 daughters, Dawne Boukhemis, Janine Sadki, Faith Miller, Gabrelle Spencer and Bernadette DiGabriele; 2 sons, John Deptuch and Michael DiGabriele; 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
