Larry G. Salyers, 77, of Huntington, widower of Sandra Sue Salyers, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Heartland of Riverview, South Point, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 pm Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Jim Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Larry was born January 26, 1941, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Edward J. and Nancy Skaggs Salyers. Four brothers, Billy, Charles, James and Don Salyers also preceded him in death. He retired as the Director of Tri-State Airport, and was a member of the Beverly Hills United Methodist Church. He was also a longtime coach of youth sports. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Lego of Huntington; three sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Laurie Salyers of Richmond, VA, David and Joey Salyers of Proctorville, OH, Brian and Teresa Salyers of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Salyers, Zach Lego (Kelley), Jordan Salyers, Eric Salyers (Brianna), Evan Salyers (Carly), Cara Salyers, Ally Salyers, Faith Salyers and Brennen West; two great-grandchildren, Cooper Lego and Hadley Lego.
