Shaun Marcus Colon-Reed, 33, of Huntington, West Virginia formerly of Boston, Massachusetts was born on Christmas Day 1984. Shaun went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, December 11,2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Shaun's death was sudden and a shock to everyone around him. Shaun is the son of Doris "Nellie" Barnhill of New Bedford Mass and the late Jose' Benedict Colon of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is the son-in-law of Jareld "Jerry" Kessick of Ashland Kentucky and Loretta Kessick of Huntington WV. He leaves behind his wife Mary Kessick Colon-Reed of Huntington WV; two daughters Annabella "Anna" Kessick (11) and Danielle "Elle" Kessick(9). He was preceded in death by his two Angel Babies King Marcus Colon-Reed and Myah Ann Colon-Reed. Shaun was a part of the Oscar's Breakfast Burgers and Brews crew in Barboursville WV. He leaves behind two brothers Clifford "Cliff" Reed (Christen Dyal) of Fall River Mass. and Jason "Jay" Reed (Joana Gonzalez) of Providence RI; one brother-in-law Jerald "Mikey" Kessick (Morgan Moore) of Huntington WV and a special family member Jon McKee of Huntington, WV. He leaves behind 3 sisters Ann Reed of New Bedford, Ma. Serene Reed of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and his baby sister Destiny Reed. Shaun was a proud uncle of his nieces and nephews, Shane Mulhearn, Cheyenne Wardell, Daizha Reed, Jailyn Anderson, Diara Domino, Denaya Reed, Jazmyn Reed, Alexa Morea, Vanessa and Cassidy, Jayden Gonzalez, Levell Reed, Junior Reed, Joshua Reed and Great Uncle to his little man Jeyda Anderson. Many Kids left a spot in Shaun's life and helped shape Shaun in to the dad he was. Shaun loved his New England teams the patriots, Celtics and the Red Sox. Tom Brady was his Hero. Shaun was a huge collector of Shoes. You would never see Shaun wear the same shoes in a week. Shaun was well known on the Nba 2k network User name KingReed1223. His playstation was his second wife. A day didn't go by that Shaun didn't laugh. He moved to West Virginia knowing one person and he left West Virginia knowing everyone. We couldn't go anywhere without people knowing him. Some say it was his dimples other say it was his mouth. If Shaun was awake his mouth was moving. He wasn't the life of the party he was the party. Shaun was a loving Husband and father and a best friend to many. (Mike, Scotty, Dj, Zack) He was a member of the Huntington YMCA where he spent most of his days chillin out maxin relaxin all cool and shootin some b-ball. He loved 90's sitcoms. He could quote almost any movie. He had a song for everything. 10am Mon-Fri he could be found listening to First take. If he was working, he could be found sitting on his pickle bucket listening. Shaun's three girls meant the world to him. You couldn't have a conversation with him without him talking about them or his pets Brady, Tatum, and Khloe and even those swimming fish too. A celebration of Shaun's life will be held at Abundant Life Baptist Church Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor James Kessick presiding on December 17, 2018 at noon. Everyone is encouraged to wear their sport team gear.
