Obituary



Helen M. Ranson, 94, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born on February 26, 1924 in Huntington a daughter of the late William Earl Morrison and Crystal Dunkle Morrison. She was the widow of Chester L. Ranson. Helen was preceded in death by her stepmother, Minnie Smallridge Morrison; two brothers, Harold and Richard Morrison; and one sister, Ruth Irene Meadows. Helen was a retired secretary for the former Life of Virginia. She is survived by four sisters, Dora Mae Gillispie of Huntington, Carol Rusmielle of Anaheim, California, Rosalie Morse of Albuquerque, NM, and Faye Campbell of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, Dale Morrison of Huntington; her two sons, Fred Ranson and Terry Ranson, both of Huntington; three granddaughters, Stacy Ranson Zarmuh, Kelly Ranson Dowd, and Rebecca Ranson and great granddaughter, Ella Dowd, all of Pittsburgh, PA; and step granddaughter, Emily Bush of Miami, FL. The family would like to thank the staff at Chateau Grove for the care she received. There will be no visitation or service.
